Each room is well laid, airy, spacious with beds, bedding and bed linens, study table cum book rack and wardrobe with mirror for each student.
The school has well equipped kitchen and provides good quality vegetarian food. A healthy diet contributes tremendously to improve the physical and mental well-being of children and their potential learning ability, thus contributing to better school performance. Here at Mayoor School Siliguri, the menu for all meal sessions is changed on a regular basis to maintain variety and wholesome nourishment. Fruits and salads grown in our vegetable garden are also part of the menu. Please note that non-vegetarian food, as a matter of policy, is not served in the school. Parents should not bring any such food items. Strict action will be taken if it is violated.
Students have supervised study time in the evenings. They are allowed to explore the books in the library as per the schedule under the supervision of the librarian. Additionally, designated study areas within the rooms provide a quiet and focused atmosphere for individual or group study sessions, helping students to maximize their academic potential.
Balancing academics with leisure are essential for a well-rounded student life. During weekends, the students are shown feature films, a choice of suitable films being made according to the age group. We also invite over the school year a variety of musicians, dancers, and other performing artists for programmes and workshops in the school. In addition, we organize our own entertainment programmes, theatre and musical evenings with students. All classes from Class III upwards embark on a study trip to ecological reserves, monuments or NGOs. Mayoor School Siliguri has a wide variety of indoor and outdoor games such as chess, carrom, table tennis, martial arts, aerobics, yoga, badminton, swimming, cricket, football and basketball.
